Asrama Desa or Village Hostel located at Kg. Tagupi Laut, Lahad Datu, Sabah was set up to accommodate students who stay far from the Human Capital Development Center (PPMI). Without such accommodation students need to walk approximately two hours just to get to the PPMI. However, the current hostel is in poor condition with decaying roofs and walls which at times were replaced by only woven coconut leaves.
Some damages were repaired using natural resources such as leftover metals or pieces of woods found at the riverbank. Electricity supply is also very limited coupled with no clean water for bath, cleaning and drinking.
