The humanitarian crisis in Yemen remains the worst in the world.

Even before fighting broke out in 2015, Yemen was already known as one of the poorest countries in the world.

According to report by the World Food Program (WFP) in 2023, about 21.6 million Yemenis need humanitarian aid to survive.

More than 50 percent of the population, facing food shortage problems and were projected to experience acute hunger (IPC Phase 3)

Alhamdulillah, thanks to the support and contribution from Malaysian through MySedekah campaign, Islamic Relief Malaysia managed to distribute food aid to 110 families in Taiz, Yemen.

"Our life is very difficult. We are among the millions of Yemenis who are depending on humanitarian assistance.

"Imagine, we experience the poverty to some point where there is not even a single piece of food at home to feed our children.

"After we receive food packs from Islamic Relief, my children feel very happy because they no longer have to sleep with empty stomachs for days. Alhamdulillah, thank you to everyone who helped us," said Naseem Mohammed Abdo Mukbel.
