Islamic Relief Coordinate Effective Response to Support People in Mali

MALI, 29 January 2021 – Hundreds of households in Haribomo and Gossi region have fled their homes due to recent spikes in conflict between armed groups in Mali.

Even though the conflict started in December 2020, the assessment work in the affected areas is still not accessible due to the unstable situation.

The urgent humanitarian needs are mainly food, shelters, water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH), and non-food items (NFI).

Islamic Relief Mali is working closely with local authorities and other organizations such as the World Food Program (WFP) to help those in need.

Islamic Relief is planning to provide food and shelter to more than 600 households in Haribomo and WASH assistance to benefit more than 700 households in Gossi.
