Many people dream of the beauty of white, soft and fluffy snow, but yet there are those who are suffering from the cold harsh winter.
Education is the powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

School Assistance
Cheer to School (CTS) campaign is targeting RM50,000 that will benefit students from B40 families and below, urban poor students, orphans, and disabled in few locations in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak to get school needs such as school uniforms, school bags, shoes, stationery, face mask and hand sanitizer.
This project is targeted to encourage children to be more excited about learning and reducing the burden of parents in providing their children’s school needs.
According to a new study done by United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) shows, low income families in cities and urban poor especially female headed household or single mothers, were forced to cut back spending on their children by as much as 84 per cent.
If they are facing problems to provide online learning equipment, how about other school necessities as a preparation to come back to school this year. In most rural and urban poor areas, they are also struggling to pay school fees and some cannot afford it at all.
" Most of the students live at a flat nearby and some of them have many siblings. Their parents’ income is very unstable, affecting their monthly income after the Covid-19 outbreak. Some parents are unable to pay school fees yearly in full amount and will pay through installments 2-3 times a year. Every year we will face countless students unable to afford to buy new uniforms clothes, shoes, school bags, etc.
If there are no agencies to help these children to buy new basic needs for schooling, we as teachers will take our own initiative to buy for them. Many thanks from us to Islamic Relief and donors out there, your presence here is a sign that love between races exists in our community."

Based on our previous experience, this kind of project has greatly impacted not only the students but also the parents, teachers, schools, and volunteers who help during the implementation programs.
This program also aligned with at least 4 goals in Social Development Goals (SDG) listed by United Nations such as SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and SDG 17: Partnership for the goals.
Previously, this program implements by using a shopping concept whereby we bring the students to supermarkets to self-select their needs based on the approved items.
We hope that this assistance will ease the burden of parents and motivate their kids to be more enthusiastic about learning.
Education must be an equal opportunity for all.
Let’s help them now!
