{"id":1569,"date":"2016-09-08T12:42:03","date_gmt":"2016-09-08T04:42:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/islamic-relief.org.my\/sandbox_www\/?p=1569"},"modified":"2017-04-22T07:05:15","modified_gmt":"2017-04-21T23:05:15","slug":"qurbani-see-the-difference-this-special-meal-makes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/islamic-relief.org.my\/sandbox_www\/qurbani-see-the-difference-this-special-meal-makes\/","title":{"rendered":"Qurbani: See the difference this special meal makes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Around the world, Islamic Relief teams are rolling out a distribution mission on a vast scale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Providing the highest quality Qurbani meat to families living in desperate circumstances, our teams know that for many people, this could be the only taste of meat they get all year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Em Abdo fled her home in Syria after pulling her little boy from the rubble of the destroyed building and now lives in a camp.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She said: \u201cWe now spend our Eid living under the trees\u2026 Is this really Eid?!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cTruly, this is not Eid.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Wl9frFzYyo4?feature=oembed\" width=\"605\" height=\"340\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This Eid Islamic Relief aims to deliver Qurbani across 29 countries so that Em Abdo, and families like hers, can share a special meal together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Siham, from Idlib, is in the same situation, struggling to give her children a normal life in the camp.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She says: \u201cI think they haven\u2019t tasted meat since last year\u2019s Eid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cIt is just not possible to have meat anymore.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Both mothers were among 3.3 million people who benefited from Islamic Relief\u2019s Qurbani distributions last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This year we hope to reach even more.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Around the world, Islamic Relief teams are rolling out a distribution mission on a vast scale.
