{"id":1349,"date":"2017-02-02T17:43:53","date_gmt":"2017-02-02T09:43:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/islamic-relief.org.my\/sandbox_www\/?p=1349"},"modified":"2017-04-21T11:35:50","modified_gmt":"2017-04-21T03:35:50","slug":"islamic-relief-in-top-20-of-worlds-500-leading-ngos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/islamic-relief.org.my\/sandbox_www\/islamic-relief-in-top-20-of-worlds-500-leading-ngos\/","title":{"rendered":"Islamic Relief in Top 20 of world\u2019s 500 leading NGOs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The annual list is compiled by <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ngoadvisor.net\/top-500-world\/\">NGO Advisor<\/a><\/span>, an independent media organization committed to highlighting innovation, impact and governance in the non-profit sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Geneva, Switzerland-based organization said that each rating is allocated by a <em>combination of \u201cevidence-based quantitative analysis with thorough qualitative research\u201d.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In a statement, NGO Advisor said: \u201cKnown as the Ivy League of the non-profit world, the Top 500 ranks NGOs in order to showcase the best practices and newest ideas in the sector. The NGOs in this year\u2019s ranking are more influential, more powerful, and more innovative than ever before.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Islamic Relief was rated in three main areas around its impact, innovation and governance in the categories of Children and Youth; Economic Empowerment; Emergency \u2013 Crisis, Refugees, Shelter; and Social Justice. The humanitarian aid charity is up six places from its previous rating of 26th place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Imran Madden, UK Director of Islamic Relief, said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cThis is a tremendous achievement and a tribute to all of the hard work of our staff and volunteers around the world.
