Islamic Relief is on the ground monitoring the floods situation in Khartoum North, an area most likely to be affected by floods.
Sudan’s Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources reported that the Blue Nile water flow rose from 100 million cubic meters to 400 million cubic meters. The Ministry warned of flooding risk in the Blue Nile following a big rise in the water level. Our teams are closely monitoring the situation and preparing for a response in Khartoum, Gedarif, and Blue Nile States
