Islamic Relief Philippines has reached out to 15,000 people in Maguindanao and displaced people in Marawi-crisis affected families, both are in south Philippines.
In giving halal-certified food aid, the organization prioritizes those vulnerable people, particularly those who have a family member with disability, elderly, pregnant and lactating woman, and orphan child or children under 5 years old, for families to concentrate on their prayers and worry less for food during Suhoor (meal before sunrise) and Iftar (meal after sunset).
Each food pack contains the following:
15 kilos of rice
2 liters of halal-certified vegetable oil
500 grams of mongo beans
500 grams of halal-certified iodized salt
3 cans of halal-certified sardines
3 cans of halal-certified corned beef
