Charity Shoppe IRM is a charity shop owned by Islamic Relief Malaysia (IRM) the Charity Shoppe concept has long been introduced in other regions where Islamic Relief (IR) is operating, where used items or second hand best items are sold at discounted price. The proceeds of the sale were utilized by IR for its charity causes. All items sold at our Charity Shoppe are contributions from the general public. The donors of these items come from all walks of life, irrespective of race and religious backgrounds. This is in-line with IR’s direction of advocating a caring world society.
Charity Shoppe IRM was launched on April 21st, 2012 by Senior General Manager Hajj Operations, of the Pilgrim’s Fund Board, YBhg. Dato ‘Syed Syed Abdul Rahman Saleh. Charity Shoppe plays a role as a ‘gateway’ for people to know about the IR and IRM organizations, its humanitarian activities and volunteerism.Also serves as a one-stop center for various activities such as the focal point to receive goods donations from the public as well as a place for people to buy products for charity.
Donated items will also be used as a stock of goods provided for emergency assistance to victims of disasters such as fire, flood and so on.Among the products available and donated to the Charity Shoppe is clothing, bags, kitchenware, electrical appliances, toys, books and magazines, and even accessories for women and men. Other attractions Charity Shoppe is a mini cafe and a reading corner for children who enjoy a little light reading material here and Charity Shoppe is where recycled or second-hand items are being sold at discounted price.
