1) OFFICER, GOVERNANCE 

 

Job Status: Short Term Contract (6 months)

Commencement: IMMEDIATE

Salary range: RM2,200 – RM3,000 (Based on qualification and experience)

 

SCOPE AND AUTHORITY

 

  1. Scope of the Role :  Reporting to CEO and Board of trustees the post holder has line management responsibility for critical functions including legal, internal audit, strategy and security functions, all external legal counsel and legal staff. The incumbent  will take a lead in ensuring, managing and enhancing governance structures, policies and procedures, legal compliance, an effective internal function, support the CEO in strategy implementation, and oversee IRM’s security matters.

 

  1. Responsibility for Resources :  Responsible for the governance, internal audit, legal, and strategy monitoring budgets in Islamic Relief Malaysia.

 

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Internal Audit (incl Office, Field & Programmes Monitoring & Evaluation & IRW Audit)
  • Legal
  • Security (incl Business Continuity Plan)
  • Compliance & Accountability (including Reputational Risks, Regulatory & IRM system compliance)
  • Strategy Monitoring & Implementation

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent is accountable for fulfilling his or her roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of his/her colleagues and staff.

 

  1. Providing Support in monitoring and evaluating ongoing projects in all IRM’s project and programs, nationwide.
  2. Responsible for overall M&E and learning needs of the project and will come up with findings based on real data to show performance of the projects.
  3. Play the role in promoting key learning for the improvement of the project and for wider leaning of the organisation.
  4. Add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
  5. Ensure the overall efficiency and reliability of an organization’s control mechanisms.
  6. Plan for the development and maintenance of business continuity plans of the organization.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Bachelor Degree in relevant field

Experience in internal audit and compliance

Possess a practical approach to risk management, with a good understanding of how to strike the balance between control and compliance, and flexibility to accommodate different situations and contexts and new approaches.

Possess valid driving license and own transportation

2) ASSISTANT OFFICER, DOMESTIC PROGRAMMES 

 

Two Positions – Central Region & East Coast Region

Job Status: Short Term Contract (6 months)

Commencement: IMMEDIATE

Salary range: RM1,600 – RM2,200 (Based on qualification and experience)

 

SCOPE AND AUTHORITY

  1. Maintaining, monitoring beneficiaries’ records.
  2. Coordinate and organise movement for delivering assistance to beneficiaries.
  3. Develop and implement programmes for community development.
  4. To maintain an awareness of the work of Islamic Relief Malaysia.
  5. In close communication with implementing partners for delivering assistance to beneficiaries.
  6. In close consultation with the Head, Domestic Programme Division to guarantee smooth implementation of IRM activities.
  7. To carry out any additional duties within the spirit of the post as required by the Organisation.

 

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Beneficiaries management
  • Community development programme

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain systems and controls to ensure the efficiency, integrity and transparency of the operations in accordance with guidelines provided by Islamic Relief and internationally accepted accounting standards.
  2. Produce data and analysis to support programmes.
  3. Ensure all beneficiaries records and supporting documentation is maintained in a systematic order and in safe and secure conditions.
  4. Provide complete, accurate and timely project reports, including institutional donor reports where required for all projects implemented by the office, in the required formats.
  5. Maintain accurate and effective expenditure controls on all transactions incurred by the office and sub-offices as part of project implementation and other related costs.
  6. Ensure that expenses are accurately recorded and utilised ensuring the office is accountable and act with integrity to ensure effective use of the fund.
  7. Assist and support the Domestic Programme Division in ensuring that expenditure meet Islamic Relief and institutional donor requirements and remain within the approved plans and budgets.
  8. Ensure the effective and efficient working of budgetary, accounting, reporting and internal control systems for the office.
  9. To work as part of a team.
  10. Monitor and responsible for the relevant policies with regard to domestic programmes for Islamic Relief Malaysia.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Bachelor Degree in any relevant field. Social Science is much welcomed.

3) BUSINESS NETWORKING INTERN 

 

Job Status: Internship (4 – 6 months)

Commencement: IMMEDIATE

Allowance: RM3 per hour

 

SCOPE AND AUTHORITY

The intern will assist staff with writing business procedures, planning the business of entrepreneurs, creating spreadsheets and data analysis.

 

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Write business procedures, business flow charts,
  • Data Analysis
  • Assist to new business opportunities
  • Administrative projects as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS

Students with practical or educational experiences in Business Administration, Business Management and Sales & Marketing

Ability to work independently

Possess valid driving license and own transportation
