Lebanon Explosion
General Info:
– Killed people (78) as per Minister of Public Health (this figure could exceed 100 people)
– Tens of missing people
– More than 4,000 injuries
– The damage extends over half of Beirut city
– More than 300,000 were forced to leave their damaged houses (almost 60,000 families)
– Cost of damage is more than $3 billion
– The building surrounding the explosion area is exposed to collapse and fall down
IRL is preparing a multi-scale response including food security, distribution of non-food items and support with the medical consumable needed to bridge the gap and the shortage
IRL will support the homeless families in regards to shelter, protection, and distribution of Hygiene and sanitization materials to fight COVID.19 during these extreme circumstances
